Started as a hardware and embedded software engineer on leaving university with a Bsc Honours in Electronic Systems Engineering. Spent the best part of 12 years working in the defence industry on embedded systems. Moved to Motorola in 2000 working on Tetra (fire, police and ambulance unified telecommunications system). In 2004 Motorola trained me up as a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt and I then spent the next 12 years solving systemic business issues for companies. Realised pretty quickly that Agile is just Lean Six Sigma for software engineering and went back into technology as a Scrummaster with my current company looking after and developing 4 software development teams. Made redundant as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and now training up as a DevOps engineer so I can implement teams CI/CD pipelines, deploy software etc and automate their processes. Generally want to take agile teams pain away and make them way more productive through DevOps and offer Scrummaster/DevOps to any company that might have me.
