My task has been marked as failed whereas I have installed tomcat and deployed the war file .
Can you check this problem out and tell me what went wrong ?

How did you installed the tomcat ?
As per the requirements mentioned in the question, you had to deploy the war file given to you. Seems like you missed that step hence required war file was not deployed and application did’t work for you.
