Kubectl api-resources also does not list “http://audit.k8s.io/v1|audit.k8s.io/v1” as an api group. can anyone help out ?

A policy is not an installed object inside the cluster it’s a configuration objet. So you will not find it in the api-resources (api-resources are kind of objects that you can install in the cluster).
