to check the hard links you can validate with “stat” or with “ls -lT”.

to search for soft links use this “find path -type l”

If you type ls -li you can compare the inode number of the 2 files. If the inode number is the same it’s a hard link. With a soft link it will have a different inode but you can see where it is pointing on the output of the command.
