I performed the same steps (install cronie, created a cron job for root) on all the three servers and verified the task successfully. But still the task status is showing as ‘Failed’
is there any way to check/perform the task again?

Could you please share the steps you performed to create the cron and also how exactly you verified if cron was actually created ?
Few things to take care is the cron must be created on server/servers which are asked in the question also the cron command itself should be correct.
You might be assigned the same task in future so please keep on working on new tasks which are assigned to you
